IAHSSF may award up to 3 scholarships annually. Each scholarship will not exceed $2,000. The amount of the scholarship may vary based on applicant need, longevity/activity in IAHSS, other funding sources, and the number of scholarship awards granted by the IAHSSF Foundation. Each scholarship is for a period of one year.
Successful applicants may reapply each year.
Columbia Southern University has agreed to match two IAHSSF scholarships per year not to exceed $2,000 each for successful applicants enrolled in a degree program at Columbia Southern University.
Scholarship awards will be granted without regard to race, creed, gender, national origin, age, and will be based solely on the information provided by the applicant.
Applications containing a certified copy of current transcript, statement of financial need, and four letters of recommendation must be mailed to the IAHSSF.
Award notifications will be conducted as approved.
Eligibility
- Active participating members in IAHSS
- Member must be enrolled in good standing in the accredited university or college degree program.
- Applicant is not able to receive total tuition reimbursement from their employer. In the case of partial tuition employer reimbursement, the amount of the scholarship will not exceed the total tuition and book costs for the year.
CHPA Scholarship Program
The IAHSS Foundation is dedicated to supporting the professional development of current healthcare security professionals. This scholarship offers financial support to IAHSS members who are in leadership roles and qualify to take the Certified Healthcare Security Protection Administrator (CHPA) exam.
The Foundation will accept and review CHPA application requests from Sep. 1 – Dec. 1 each year and will announce the successful recipients in early January. They must apply to take the CHPA exam by June 1 of that year.
